My name is Lou Wheeler, and I’m a creative living in Sacramento, CA.

This website was originally my photography website, however after taking a break to focus on the ol’ day job, I ended up losing the digitalnoisephoto.com domain.  Recently, I picked up the new domain, digitalnoisestudios.com, and am repurposing the site to be a general catch-all for any of the projects I have going on.

A bit about me

I’ve been playing guitar since I was about 9 or 10.  Started playing in bands in high school/college, and really fell in love with music and performing.  Started playing bass in high school, and ended up playing bass in pretty much every band since.

Following a few band breakups, I stepped away from playing music.  Eventually, I got started in photography, and mostly shot live music and portraits/promos for a few years.  After redirecting efforts to a day job, ended up getting into my first band after a few years, and put all of my creative efforts toward that.

At this point, I was starting to learn motion graphics, video, and audio engineering/mixing.  Made a few videos for the band, both live action and mograph, and started learning how to mix.  Too many hobbies?  Yeah, probably!  But eh, it’s fun, right?

So that brings us to now, where I wanted to be able to put up content regarding all of these areas.  I definitely wouldn’t say I’m a “professional” in any of these, but I’m having fun creating things when I can.  I’ll post things as I make them, or have some interesting content to share.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments!
